I can’t switch the after Thursday appt. It is also a group. It’s Toastmasters. It’s to work on my goal of becoming a better public speaker. I happy to stay late on Tues. and Wed. Please help.

I was “helping” from day one when I told you that you could start an hour late one day per week. I did this for you. I was under the impression that you would stay late on Tuesday and then switched to Thursday. Why don’t you switch your Thursday after-work appointment to Wednesday or Tuesday?

OK. Well, unfortunately, I have to assume that you did read and agree to my email. We even spoke about it verbally but I have learned to not expect you to acknowledge anything that is not in writing though your email below now questions even that. Because I planned to make up this time on Wed. I now have an appt. after work every Thursday. I cannot move the conference call because there are 6 other people on the call and everyone has shifted other appts. in order to commit to this time slot. It’s funny because everything seemed to be working fine until you started “helping”. Why don’t we just leave it as it was and forget this whole thing. If you think Elfie might get jealous (everyone else leaves before me) or has a problem she can speak to me directly. I have spoken to her about it already and she is fine with it. She and Larry know all the extra hours I put in and it really doesn’t bother them at all.

Sorry. I never saw the Wednesday in your request. I naturally thought that the makeup time was on Tuesday originally. Had I seen the Wednesday, I would have told you that you should stay late on Tuesdays. I was trying to work with you to help you as I am now.

But you said I could make up the time on Wed. What made you change your mind?

Eric

Yes. That was OK for Tuesdays. If you want Thursday instead that is OK as well and then you should work the later day on Thursday. I am bending over backwards to allow you to do this. I am trying to help you accomplish what you feel that you need. I would not do this with anyone else. Please cooperate with me.

Hi Jerry,

I know you are going through a lot right now and I sincerely sympathize with
your situation and in no way want to compare my situation to yours but I am
going through a lot of stress myself and have decided to hire a coach to
work with me on my 'stuff'. The only available/affordable time she has is a
group tele-coaching session on Tues. mornings from 9-10 AM beginning in
October. It would be the first 3 Tuesdays of the month and I would take the
call in my office with the door closed. If necessary, I could make up the
time by staying late on Wednesdays, which I typically do anyway. Please let
me know if this works for you.

Thanks,

Eric

But "they" see me stay late every single day. What is this really about?

__

9:26 PM

Not a good idea. Others see you start late and then leave before them. It can cause jealousy. That is why I suggested coming in early or staying late on your conference day. You should arrange your conference on a day when you can stay late.

[Eric comment: we have two people in the office besides me, the biz admin and VP Marketing. both of them could care less what I do especially since they both know I work hard and always put in overtime.]

__

No. I stay late on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, sometimes Mon, Thurs, Fridays depending on workload.

I thought you are staying late on days that you have your morning conferences
